Purpose of This Reference
Louisiana law makes many arrest and booking records available to the public, yet the records do not all live in one system. The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office creates local jail booking records and photographs and operates the Inmate Inquiry roster. The Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections provides information for people serving state sentences or under state supervision. The Ascension Clerk of Court and Twenty-Third Judicial District Court hold the case history that follows an arrest. Written public-record requests cover records that are not posted online. This site organizes those official paths and explains what each one can answer. It keeps no photo archive of its own.
Records Covered Here
The content is organized around the real Ascension Parish access routes rather than a collection of republished arrest images.
- The home page explains recent bookings, the jail roster, booking photos, records requests, releases, and Louisiana removal law.
- Sheriff's Most Wanted covers public wanted cards, safe tip routes, and the separate warrant-check process.
- City pages explain how Gonzales, Donaldsonville, and Sorrento arrests reach the shared parish booking system.
- Step-by-step instructions cover APSO date searches, roster fields, and the Louisiana DPS&C offender and notification routes.
- Request guidance identifies the record custodian, mailing method, published fees, and the court route for a final disposition.
Limits of Our Role
Ascension Parish Busted Mugshots is a private reference site. It is not connected with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ascension Parish Jail, Louisiana DPS&C, a court, or any local, state, or federal government agency.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person in custody.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds for someone.
- We cannot provide legal advice or act for a person in court.
- We cannot confirm that every public phone number, fee, address, or office hour remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, corrections department, or court can confirm current custody, charges, release, and official case status. This site can point to a source, but it cannot speak for that office.
Search Partner Disclosure
Some pages contain search boxes operated by outside providers. Those providers decide what information they return, how they handle submitted queries, and whether they charge for a service. If a search tool leads to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep the general reference material available without charge, but it does not give this site control over a partner’s prices, coverage, or results.
